there’s something i love about watching first time parents. as much as their journey is just beginning, it’s also ending in the sense that after months of dreaming, wondering and waiting…. they finally get to meet their little girl. welcome into this thing we call ‘life’ katelyn. you are truly a gift from above.
so i’m a bad blogger! ahhhh… it just occurred to me that it’s august already! just a quick update for photo shoots. august is completely booked and i’m currently taking a limited amount of sessions in sept & oct due to the fact i’ll be starting back up into teaching again.
anyways, back to the fun stuff… check out this trio of boys – you just gotta love em! it was so cute how much they really loved each other… and their new little brother. well, actually he’s not so little anymore – he just has more to love!

so as mentioned before, this is the year of peanuts (or babies!). here’s my newest little nephew levi in his first official photo shoot. i feel many more down the road… but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. anyways, we even let his big sis & bro in on a few. i’m thinkin he’s going to need all the power he can get to survive the next few years with all the “love” these two have to give.
this is also a great time to remind you about timing your newborn session… the best time for photographing these little bundles is within the first two weeks of their birth. my motto is the sooner… the better! also, don’t forget about customized announcements to treasure years down the road!

one of my favorite thing to do is capture the realities of life. as i flip through old pics i can often remember the exact day – that exact outfit – those exact feelings. there’s nothing better than creating those moments for other people. i hope that when jen pics up these pics 20 years from now she’ll not only remember those sleepless nights… but also those fleeting moments of motherhood caring for her baby girl.

that’s what this little GIRLS daddy is going to be seeing a lot of! the lesson learned here is 1. never under estimate a mother’s instinct (or should we say prayers?) and 2. miracles are possible. meet claire lynae workman. you might remember her parents from this.
if this little peanut is going to be anything like his dad, i have a feeling that he’ll have a helmet of his own real soon… rather than actually fit inside of one. good luck with that erin!
